Wellness Vs Health
PUPPY, WET FOOD VS DRY FOOD….?
my boyfriend got a bull terrier, and were feeding her wellness dry food mixed with a bit of wellness wet food (both for puppies)…someone told him to not feed her wet food so her teeth become strong and also because its better for the dogs health. my mother on the other hand told me its ok too feed her wet and dry food together…she told me also that dry food is more processed but its ok to mix them,.. so he wants to cut the wet food completly out of her diet…
Dry food does NOT strengthen teeth, does NOT help keep teeth clean, does NOT prevent plaque build up….Wet food does NOT cause dental issues, does NOT cause plaque build up and a good quality wet food has a lot of nutrition and does NOT add extra water..all moisture comes from meat & meat broth.Wet food is actually more natural for a dog then dry.
It is perfectly fine to feed a mix of wet & dry food. Just make sure the wet (and dry) food is of good quality like Taste of the Wild, Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover’s Soul, Canidae, Merrick just to name a few
