Wellness On The Green

Is “Health Meter” cat litter a reliable detector for cat’s health problems?
I believe my cat is having some issues with his urinary system: it seems to me he’s not urinating as normal in the last 2 days and also he’s not drinking as much; he still hungry as usual, very playful but something is different. So I tried to use the Health Meter cat litter today and, after he urinate on it, I noticed that the color turned yellow and some “green”?! What does that mean? Could he have liver or kidneys problems? On the product box they’re not very specific as far as explaining the meaning of colors. I feed my cats Wellness vet food and Evo dry food (always mixed together) and I always make sure they drink plenty of fresh water…Does anybody know about Health Meter cat litter product? I think I might take my cat to the vet anyway tomorrow
Thanks
I haven’t used it but I wouldn’t trust important health issues like urinary tract health to a cat litter. A vet is a much more practical option. Sometimes cats can have urinary tract issues despite how hard we try to prevent them. You’re feeding him well. I wouldn’t change his diet but I would have the vet run some tests.
