Wellness Large Puppy
do golden retriever pups have to be on large breed puppy food?
I have an 8 1/2 week old golden retriever puppy and have a feeding question. she came from the breeder eating puppy chow but i changed her to wellness just for puppy so now she is on a high quality diet. some people say to feed large breed though i feel that since she is doing great on regular wellness for puppy and that it is a high quality diet i would like to keep her on that. jst want to know peoples opinions on the matter. no nasty comments pls. have asked my vet but he said either or.
yes there are different ingredients. large breed has lots of fish which i dont really enjoy the smell of lol
I wouldn’t feed any sized pup a “large breed puppy” food, because most large breed foods are too high in protein, and too low in fat, for a puppy to eat. Wellness Just For Puppy is a great food, stick with that, and your pup should do great.
