Wellness Indoor Health For Cats
What brand cat food has the lowest sodium?
My new vet recommended active longevity science diet for my 10 month old kitten. The reason being is for sodium level. The sodium level needs to be low because her heart defect and fluid around/in her lungs. I have been looking at foods and sodium levels are around the 30-40% for science diet. Wellness is on 20% for their indoor and health wise is %23 I use that currently for all 6 of my kittens. I am now hesitant to switch because the sodium level is lower on my current. Any suggestions or anyone know of any other low sodium wet and dry food? Thanks for any suggestions on a type of food!
(I will call my vet and ask tomorrow, just wanting opinions)
science diet is full of corn and fillers and just all the nasty stuff you DO NOT want in cat food. cats are natural carnivores, made to eat meat, not a bunch of corn and only corn, that basically what science diet is…. it is a HORRIBLE food, vets just reccomend it because they get a good chunk of the money. don’t buy into the science diet hype from your vet. research science diets ingredients and just science diet in general and see for yourself why it is a no no kitty food.
some very good cat foods are-
solid gold
felidae
taste of the wild
natural balance
EVO
Nature’s Variety
Orijen
blue buffalo
you’ll have to do your own research on which one of the above cat foods have less sodium and is better for your cat, but those are THE BEST cat foods to feed, full of meat and healthy ingredients, UNLIKE science diet.
