Im getting my cat next week and..?

He is a 3 year old male and he isn’t neutered. I set up an appointment to get this done right when i get him. what are the possible personality and physical changes? he is a VERY snuggly cat and i don’t want to stop this. also with his owners right now he is an indoor/outdoor cat but i want to keep him in all the time, how do i stop him from being bored when we aren’t home and stop him begging to go outside? One last thing, he is just on the cheap no name grocery brand food right now, but i want to switch him to Wellness or Innova, will i see a gradual improvement in his health and coat? His coat is rather dull and he has dandruff.

The nuetering shouldnt change his personality, except he may not mark his territory but hell still be his cuddly self.Physically he is already mature since he is three (they usually fully develope around 2yrs, so hell still have and keep his big tomcat face Keeping him in may be a problem. When I moved to the country, my cats escaped outside and I had a hell of a time keeping them in after that. Unfortunately they never came home one day They would be very persistent about getting outside and would dart for the door if you even thought about opening it and they were quite sneaky as well. So keep an eye out for him door dodging!! Because cats can be real finiky eaters change his diet slowly by mixing his old bag with the new food ( a small sandwich bag should be enough to change him over) Some cats will starve themselves (there not like dogs) but mixing them together is usually enough to get them used to it. Or he may be an easy food switcher. You can put fish oil on his food 1 caplet per day this should provide him with the essential fatty acids he needs for a healthy coat as well as swithcing to a better quality food. If he will allow you to do it they sell flea combs and they are great for getting the dandruff off of their coats, they have very small teeth and will take out the undercoat as well.
