Is it normal for my cat’s paw to twitch occasionally when she’s awake?
I have a beautiful tabby cat who is 7 years old. I’ve noticed that her paw twitches while she’s awake sometimes. I’ve heard of cat twitches while sleeping, but I wasn’t able to find any info about being awake. Ever since this pet food recall, I’ve really been watching out for everything that might be a health issue. She didn’t eat the actual recall food, but they had been eating one of the brands. Now I’ve switched to Wellness wet food. That seems to be the best. Any information would be great. Thank you.
We have three cats that are 11 years old each. I have seen their paws twitch many times while they were awake. If the twitch doesn’t seem strange like a convulsion or something, I really wouldn’t worry about it. The food wouldn’t bother her as she didn’t eat the recalled food. I would just keep an eye on her for awhile and see how she acted.
