How about VA health care, is that socialism?
My father received his care from the VA his entire life and died in his late 80′s. He said the VA was the first HMO and was always satisfied with the quality of care.
Don’t most veterans choose not to use the VA but to get their care via private insurance companies?
Wouldn’t it make sense to offer the same choice to non-vets as well? Especially those who now use the emergency room that cost so much and we all pay for anyway?
Yes, the VA is socialized medicine. And it works. Most vets utilize it. Some other successful socialist programs?

Medicaid
Highways and Roads
The Post Office
Public School
I would love to see a public option available to the people…and I am 100% sure that within the next 10 years the private insurance companies will be dying out. They are fighitng for their life right now and are utilizing (mostly) the under educated, the racists, the lower middle class to do their bidding for them and keep their CEO’s rich and the country poor.
