Sexual Health Questions And Answers

sexual health questions! need mature answers!!!?
so, Im a virgin, but Im a young adult woman and I would like some *MATURE* answers and advice please! Thanks!
anyways, I’ve never “inserted” anything up myself….not even my own finger. I’m always paranoid about accidentally scratching or busting something…..I’m going to try to attempt this, with my finger. But I’m need to know will it hurt, will it cause infection or HPV? should I clip my nails? etc. is it safe?
question 2: About birth control. Does it really make you gain weight? I’m not sexually active, and won’t be anytime soon because Im still single. But everytime I go to the doctor, they are usually surprised to find out that I’m not on the pill. I mean, really shocked.
3. If a person were to not use birthcontrol, but only a condom, how effective would it be in preventing pregnancies?
thank you for your time. Thanks!
and yes, I am a grown adult young woman. Im just a late bloomer with all this. Thanks!
Question 1:
It might hurt, but not much at all. It actually is a little bit better to ‘explore’ down there before you have sex because for one it lets you know what you like and what you dont like and also it stretches you a little bit before you have sex so when a guy goes in it doesnt hurt as much. Wash you hands before doing it and if you think it will make you feel more comfy use a lube. If you think your nails are too long then clip them a little. You can potentially get an infection from scratching the inside but it would have to be a deep scratch and also washing your hands before doing anything helps prevent that from happening. I have never heard about anyone getting an STD from masturbating unless they used some filthy. But other than that it’s safe. If you feel like you need extra security, but some condoms or latex gloves to use.
Question 2:
It completely depends. I lost weight taking the pill and I dont take it to prevent pregnancy, I have to take it to control my flow so I dont pass out from blood loss. But it varies person to person. It can make you gain or lose weight. I’m a bigger girl and I lost weight taking it so. If youre not sexually active right now and you dont need it to help with your period then there no need to take the pill.
Question 3:
They say they are I believe 90-99% eefective at preventing pregnancy. But as with any birth control device, nothing is completely 100% effective unless youre completely abstinent or have your tubes cut and tied.
I hope Ive helped. I’m a young adult woman myself and I’m a virgin too so you’re not alone. I just make sure I learn about stuff so I’m not misinformed or underinformed about stuff like this.
