Oregon Health Science Institute

What is the “Oregon Institute of Science & Medicine” so often cited in opposition to GW climate trends?
I see it cited sometimes as a publisher of “peer-reviewed scientific articles”. I lived in Oregon years ago and don’t recall any state university or government entity of that name. (However, it sounds like it might be meant to sound like it is part of the respected state-funded Oregon Health Science University group of research centers.)
It’s a real entity, although I don’t think it’s very prestigious.
“The Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine is a non-profit research institute established in 1980 to conduct basic and applied research in subjects immediately applicable to increasing the quality, quantity, and length of human life [except when it comes to climate change]”

Their list is so often cited because there’s a large number of names on it. It’s used as a reference to claim there’s no scientific consensus on AGW. Of course it doesn’t actually accomplish that goal, but that’s the motivation for its frequent citation anyway.
