mother in Texas – is it our fault?

Earlier today I asked for ppl to pray for evelyn frayre and her family. She was the only child that survived her mothers murder-suicide. The only response I got was from someone who told me my prayers were in vain and this incident was all of our faults because this woman needed companionship. What do you think of this? I really feel the failure was the stigma that comes with mental illness and the lack of resources for the mentally ill. I am assuming the mother had a low income, she was essentially a single parent… Do you think she had any health insurance? I doubt it. I really believe she would have had to have been suffering from sever psychosis and depression to do this. If she had been treated with medication, therapy, they could all be alive today. If it really is “our” fault, then it means we need to advocate for a change in healthcare so the poor have resources. What do you think?

it is not anyone’s fault. a person is responsible for any actions, decisions made through his life. anyone who’s in dire need and attention, need to learn to reach out and get help. there are a lot of kind hearted people in this world and it will take only a small effort to ask for help.

we are responsible for our own actions therefore, we suffer the consequense of those actions. all the problems we encounter in life are part of our training to face life and truly understand our purpose of living here on earth.

the mind can snap anytime due to many problems that we face everyday. we should be taught to reach out and ask for help, if not for us, do it for our kids. the best we can do now is offer prayers for those who died and pray for the little girl who survive. shalom.
