Health Wise Food Supplements
Things i will need for a new puppy?
Puppy comes home soon. I already got all the collars, toys, kennel.. etc.
What do I need to get care/health wise? Will I have to get worm medicine? Or any kind of supplements? Or flea?? What kind of puppy food do u sugguest?? I’m new to this.. she’s also going to be a small dog.
Leave most of the health care to the vet. I have never had to worm a puppy after I got it. You do want the vet to do a fecal check and supply any needed remedy. Also discuss flea remedy with the vet. In nearly all of the country, you need heartworm remedy. Some products do fleas, heartworms, and some other things. Unless your home is infested with fleas, remedies can wait until the first vet visit.
Skip the supplements. Stick to the breeder’s food at least for a while. All the discussion of food parrots marketing hype. Facts are few and far between. You will see no references to scientific studies and other evidence because there are none readily available to the public for free. No honest, well informed person would make many of the posts i see.
