Will law schools get mad if…….?

Im a Political Science major. I ask if what classes I plan to take are good, and some of you rip me new ones for the General Education Requirements I have to complete. I want to be a healthcare lawyer. I took General Chemistry I and II, because I was a Chemistry major, but too scared to take Organic Chem. I also am taking “The Realm of Physics” and a class titled “Weather Disasters”. I am trying to complete my Poly Sci major degree requirements, as well as take these stupid Gen Ed classes my school makes me take. Is Chemistry, Physics, and Meterology ok?

As for math, I took Pre-Calculus, Math in the Real World, and will be taking Statistics A, I think that is enough.

I plan to take Political sci classes to finish up my degree, Statistics, Micro and Macro Economics, Public Speaking, Medical Ethics, Cinema, and perhaps a Public Health or History class.

No, admissions counselors are there to answer questions like that,so…

That said, your best bet would be to talk to the pre-law adviser at your school.

I’d also add that PoliSci (while the stereotype) may not be the best way to go as it’s going to be by far the most competitive due to numbers.

If you’re interested in practicing in health, you’d do really well with admission committees if you had a science degree (or better yet, a healthcare or public health policy (political science branch) ) degree.

That said, they really don’t care what classes you take to fill your general education requirements. Pre-calculus is pretty much equal to “Math for Liberal Arts majors” (loved that class) as far as they’re concerned. They just care that you have the degree, what the degree is (to an extent), what your LSAT score is and your undergrad GPA.
