Any tips for a 40 day juice “fast”?

The reason I put quotation marks around fast is because I don’t plan on going on a hard core juice fast. I just want to encorprate juicing into these 40 days. Yeah, it’s at Lent time, but my health is my primary concern.
Any suggestions?
Some ideas I’ve come up with is replacing one meal a day with juice (from a juicer), or maybe drink only juice three days a week.

It’s quite simple. Just make sure that you get all the nutrients you would from eating through drinking juices (minus all the fat, refined sugars, and sodium you would get from unhealthy, processed foods).

I’d suggest you drink juice that’s from a juicer, not just pre-made juice from the grocery store (unless it’s something like Odwalla, or it’s got no sugar added and is 100% natural, which is hard to find sometimes). If anything, just look at the ingredients. The longer the list, the less natural it is. Stay away from the juices that aren’t refrigerated in the aisles too. They definitely have additives. Look for all ingredients that aren’t natural fruits, and if it says it’s from concentrate, throw it out the window. You might as well be living off of sugar water.

The best thing to do is buy tons of fruit and vegetables of all sorts of colors, skin them, and juice them all up together. Different, bright colors = more nutrients, antioxidants, and assorted vitamins. Remember to try including as many different kinds of fruits and vegetables as you can, especially if you plan on only living off of that for full days at a time. I know vegetables are kind of hard to make it taste good with the fruit, so buy the ones that have a light, crisp taste that can match sweet flavors – such as cucumbers or carrots.
