Health Issues Caused By Obesity

What do you think of this answer, as it relates to our health and fitness?

I can relate to electronics causing us to have more health issues. As adults we can decide how much or how little we allow technology to influence our lives. Where I live the weather plays a big part in how active I am. If the weather is nice I want to be outside and be active, when it is rainy or cold I do tend to be a couch potato. I always limited my childrens time watching television or playing video games. I can see a steady incline in the weight of children with more and more technology being used by them. When I was a kid the best times we had were going camping and fishing or going to summer camp. With my kids we didn’t seem to have the time for camping trips and did more amusement parks and water parks in the summer. I couldn’t find a good summer camp by the time my kids were camp aged. My grandkids are even less into the outdoors than my kids were growing up. It is sad and something that should be worked on of we don’t want to see obesity continue to rise.

I see a lot of fact in what you’re saying. One of the main reasons for all that is the sheer number of choices kids have today. I liken it to a Toys R Us store. Had that been around when I was little I would have thought I’d died and gone to toy haven. Electronics plays a part in the type of activities kids have to chose from today. Having fun doesn’t require any work or physical activity so why do it. Unless there is an outdoor activity or some sports related events a child likes today, it’s going to be early in the gym with a good diet program just to keep them in some reasonable shape. And yes, it will get worse as time goes by. Going to camp now wouldn’t be any fun unless one could stay in the tent all day and tex your friends. Sad but true.
