What is the new health care plan proposed by Obama 2010?

I just want to know in a simple, understandable way, what the main goals/incentives/pro’s and con’s of this plan are. I’m curious to see the responses by my fellow citizens and do welcome to read respectful differences. Thank You for sharing! PLEASE NO HATE NO BIGGOTRY

Upon signing of the bill, small businesses will get tax credits to buy insurance for their employees.

Senior citizens who have reached the ‘donut hole’ in Medicare D will be eligible for drug help. The hole itself will eventually be closed.

Those who are uninsurable because they have preexisting conditions will be able to find high risk pools set up to help them get insurance.

By Sept 23, 2010 it will be illegal for insurances companies to deny children because they have preexisting conditions.

Insurance companies will not be able to drop anyone who becomes sick and they can no longer impose lifetime limits on coverage for illnesses.

Children will be able to stay on their parent’s insurance policy until age 26.

By Jan 2011 insurance companies will be required to spend 80-85% of an insured person’s paid premiums is to spent on medical care for that insured person and and of this amount left is to be reimbursed to the insured.

Medicare patients will receive prevention care.

Then by 2014 there will be a total ban on preexisting conditions denials .

Uninsured people will be able to buy insurance through health insurance exchanges which will be comprised of existing insurance companies. And the insurance companies will not be able to impose annual limits on anything.

Plus not buying insurance was taken out of the bill Obama signed this week.

As for the reconciliation amendment bill which is in Congress for this week, I don’t know that anyone really knows whats in it as it is still being written.
