Can you review my answer? It’s short, I just want to make sure that the punctuation is correct?
It was for a question I answered for history. What do you think of the punctuation? Before, all the semicolons were periods. But, then I felt like the semicolons made more sense…What do you think?
During the 1970s, the U.S. changed both socially and culturally. Blue-collar workers and their families moved from the Rust Belt to the Sun Belt because of job opportunities; Presidents tended to come from the Sunbelt; Migration of immigrants to the United States continued to stay strong during the 1970s; People began to become more interested in personal fitness and health; The number of people who attended evangelical churches rose rapidly.
All those semicolons should be periods. If the sentences seem too clipped or short, stick in “, while”
or “, and” between a couple of them.
