Any info on child psychology…fields similar to this?
I’m getting ready to apply into a Master’s program and I’m trying to decide what program to choose. I want to work with children that have emotional/mental health needs.
I’ve been looking at programs for social work, school counseling, and child psychology.
I’ve worked in a school setting, which I enjoyed, but I want to get involved in a field with a wide range of employment opportunities.
Any info on related careers/salaries or which would be most hands-on working with the children??
Social work is certainly the degree that has the widest range of employment opportunities and opens doors at many levels and in many systems. Salary depends a bit on where in the country you are working. In general you are looking at starting salaries of mid 30′s to mid fifties. DA
