Help with choosing career.?

I want to go to school and change professions. I am currently an electrician in Michigan and there are no jobs. I want to go to school and get an associates in something that will pay well enough to pay the bills and a career that has room for advancement. I would like to do health care but the schooling programs and clinicals are set up during the day. I will have to find something to go to school for at night because I still need to work during the day when I have a job. I need something that is in demand.

The problem with looking for something just because it is in demand is that things can change so fast. What will always be in demand is people who love what they do enough to give it their best. 80 percent of people who go to college are not even using their degree and spent a lot of time and money getting it. Not only that, even if a job pays the bills it can create its own issues if you are not happy about doing it. Better to ask yourself what you really love and are good at, follow after that and keep the job you have now.
