Is Nursing a right career for a person who is diabetic?
I am a 4o years old female plan to go to a medical feild which gives me job security and health benefits.I wanted to do dental hygine but it is not in demand in florida;what about radialogy? Thanks for your thoughts.
I’m diabetic and I’ve been a nurse for more than forty years – and a damn good one! I’m also a registered x-ray technician, and was damn good at that, too.
Either job – Registered Nurse or X-ray tech – will demand a college degree. Both professionals are much in demand. They pay about the same. You will find, once you’re trained and have your license to practice, that both are very secure jobs and benefits – especially if you work in a hospital – are excellent.
An LPN only needs one year of training, and though the pay is somewhat less than either of the other two, it is reasonable, and the benefits are as good as the RN and X-ray tech get. And yes, LPN’s job security is excellent, too.
