Health Benefits Of Raisins Fruit
Can you get the same health benefits from dried fruit, frozen vegetables, canned vegetables, etc?
I eat very few fresh vegetables and a decent amount of fresh fruit but I load up on dried fruit. My favorite is this berry medly I snack on. It has dried cranberries, blueberries, raisins and cherries. I also eat a lot of frozen bagged vegetables, which I boil/steam and eat for dinner. Is this good enough or should I be eating the fresh stuff more?
Frozen bagged veggies are good for you, especially when you steam them as they will lose very little nutrients by steaming them.
The dried fruit is ok in moderation. Dried fruit has a significantly higher caloric count than fresh fruit. Also, anything that has been preserved has sulfides to preserve colors/flavors. Frozen fruit could be a good option for you too. I also take fresh fruit in season and freeze my own. Sometimes, I use the food processor to make fresh fruit bars which taste great and are good for you too!
