Has anyone started a club at their highschool?

I will be attending a private (non-sectarian) highschool of about 400 people next year. They already have:
- Amnesty International
- Animal Rights Club
- Asian Club
- Astronomy Club
- Biking Club
- Environmental Club
- Film Club
- Gay/Straight Alliance
- Public Health Club
- Political Reading

And loads others, but I’m also interested in starting my own club. Not that I have an unusual interest not covered by these clubs, but I’d like to have the experience of creating my own club. I need about 10 others and a sponser faculty member to make it happen, so it must be something a lot of people could enjoy. What are some popular, but unusual clubs you have at your highschool? What sort of club would you make, if you wanted to make one?

What is your favorite subject? I work at a high school and we have a Math Club (the members also tutor the younger kids), a History Club (where they show old, historic movies during lunchtime and discuss historical issues), a Science Club (where they indulge in inventions of their own creative brains), A Music Club (self-explanatory), a International Club (where students are introduce to a variety of cultures…not just one… and learn about that culture, the foods, the history, the events of the country, celebrations, important people…)…

We also have a Wilderness Challenge Club that used to go camping to various interesting spots once a month… that was fun! We’ve been white-water rafting, rock climbing, hiking, backpacking, snorkeling, canoeing, kayaking, etc,

You could also try a Travel Club – where you learn the ins and outs of various travel adventures…

You could also start a Literary Club – or Book Club where you select a book, read it, and spend club time discussing the characters of the book…intention of the writer… etc.
