Is the new Obama health care plan going to screw me over?

I’m currently a senior in high school and i want to take a profession in nursing. in my law class today, we were talking about the health care plan and I understand that it gives affordable insurance to most, I’m starting to think what’s going to happen to the health occupation.

First off, how do doctors get paid if insurance companies pay for certain procedures? Do they not get paid as much? And what would happen to the nursing career? Am I just as screwed?

If what I think is going to happen, is the salary going to be cut back a lot?
look, i don’t care if you’re a republican or democrat or believe in santa clause! answer my questions! i want to know what’s going to happen to careers in health!!!! i could give hoots about what you think about obama

If insurance companies pay for a procedure, then they are paying the doctor, or the hospital the doctor works for I assume. The cost of the procedure more than likely wouldn’t differ if the patient or insurance company paid for it, so either way the doctor is getting paid the same amount! Well I suppose; I’m no genius about the medical field and how things work. Still like I said, the doctor gets paid no matter what.

Our current health care system is crap that needs to be reformed, and majority of doctors & nurses would strongly agree. I haven’t really be paying attention to the health care debate lately but I’m sure they scapegoated the government ran plan that was in it. So really the plan is just creating some sort of agency that would have an auction for people to buy health care, expands health care to people who don’t have it, and/or charges people who refuse to get health care. There’s more to it but I think that’s the essence of it, so see nothing to worry about!

Also, we have a nurse shortage in this country, which means you’re not screwed, but desperately needed!

Yeah, and like others said, don’t let the republican propaganda fool you. If they seriously think that Obama’s health care plan is horrible and will screw us over, then I wonder what they think about our current health care system. Which, if I may point out, is one of the worst in the developed world.
